You don't really like to cry, but you have a million reasons why and it's so hard to watch you learning to lie. Oh, hold me down to yesterday. You know I'm not one to say that you don't really want to love him today. But, you don't need to be concerned with all the things that time reverses. There's just something in the atmosphere tonight. And those songs you sing are lovely, and it's so nice to see you smile. But, sometimes you have to say goodbye for the final words to harmonize in the songs like these.

Don't you ever feel sad, lean on me when times get bad. When your day has come and you're in doubt in a river of trouble about to drown Hold On I'm Comin' Hold On I'm Comin' I'm on my way, your lover. When you get cold I'll be your cover. No need to worry cause I'm here. No need to suffer cause I'm near. Hold On I'm Comin' Hold On I'm Comin'

Sometimes I feel like I cannot run, just colors fading in the burning sun, because I keep on believing that you'll come back this way and it carries me over into another day. Whoa, Whoa, Whoa Now a dead sweat finds me in the frozen night, staring down at the place you should be lying. But, a skipped heart beat will not keep its time anymore than our promises are binding. But, we could build a little house from the sticks and stones, and fill it up with all the love we used to know 'long time ago. Whoa, Whoa, Whoa (whistle) All I ever thought I needed from this life was a vision reversed and reflected in your eyes. But, I can't and I won't, no I can't lie to you now. This heart won't heal itself. But, we could build a little house from the sticks and stones, and fill it up with all the love we used to know 'long time ago. Whoa, Whoa, Whoa

First Day 03:58
I'll pick you up in the morning and meet you at the station, outside the dilettante cafe. And you can tell me how you spent the night sipping bourbon in the candlelight, waiting for the house to get quiet. Ooo aah Now you've packed your bags with your most convenient rags. It'll be a while before he notices you're gone. 'Cause he's out again with some new and nameless friends as another drunken night turns to dawn. This is how you'll start your new life. Put a hundred miles between what's wrong and right. Pulling at the seams, all the lies and the in betweens. He don't deserve to hear you say goodbye. The house looks small from outside the door. No, you've never ever seen it from this view before. And this is where I'll pick you up, outside the old cafe and I won't trouble you with loads of conversation. No I won't persuade, or ask you to explain how this became the first day of your new life. Ooo aah

Lost At Sea 03:22
These are days that begin to slide down deep in the water. Crashing waves in the salty skies, lost in the wind. But, I believe that a lonely night is a reason for changing. Darling, please don't give into the storm we're in. Counting up all the days gone by drifting in circles. Tying knots in the mooring lines to batten us down. But, I need you to believe in me for a little bit longer. It's so hard to be alone and lost at sea. Whoa Sandy beaches and crystal nights on our own desert island. And would our troubles still be worth the fight if we had no one else? 'Cause, I need you to believe in me for a little bit longer, it's not easy to be lost at sea and lonely. I believe that a lonely night is a reason for changing. Darling, please don't give into the storm we're in.

You were born into the wild like a raging fire in the candlelight, and you turned your eyes to the distant sky. But, I am not carved from stone. When I fall down it shatters bone and I need a little respect, try to live my life without regret But, sometimes when you're by my side, in the clever mystery of souls entwined it's enough to make me justify the loss when you're gone. All the passing of days through all these sleepless nights, just can't fade away what I see when I look in your eyes. When you're gone When you're gone
